Welcome to 7th Sister—a restaurant rooted in the Mid-Atlantic and inspired by the legacy of the Houck sisters, who built this mansion in the heart of Frederick. Here, story and season guide the plate. From oysters dressed in blackberry mignonette to our house crab cake, seared golden and laced with whole grain mustard and herbs, every dish is crafted with care, presence, and a touch of the unexpected.
This is not a revival. It’s a reinvention—driven by a new ownership team, Chef Christian Blouin, a long-respected presence in Frederick’s culinary scene, and a shared vision for turning this historic home into a cultural landmark of food, film, and music.

Get ready for a night where fine dining meets big laughs. A three-course dinner followed by a 90-minute comedy showcase co-hosted by Walter Gottlieb & Sandy Bernstein and headliner Missy Hall, the “Queen of Happy Things.”
Eat. Drink. Laugh.
Enjoy dinner at 6:00 PM, then settle in as our co-hosts kick off an evening of stand-up featuring a lineup of hilarious guest comics, each bringing their own flavor of funny. The night builds to a full set from headliner Missy Hall, guaranteed to leave you smiling long after dessert.
